The world around us seems pretty crazy. Things seem to be becoming increasingly tense in both our personal lives and in the world. It’s causing many of us to have additional stress. We are finding ourselves becoming more agitated and pointing fingers at each other more. We are getting ourselves so caught up that we are losing sight of what really matters and the bigger picture.
A necessary escape is needed to help and protect our overall self.
You don’t have to go far to escape. You just need to detach. All you need to do is put you mind in a peaceful place. Be willing and unafraid to clear your mind and just listen.
Know that it’s about the mental state, and not the physical state. You can go away on a exoctic getaway or you can just go into a quiet room. The location of where you are does not matter. The location of your mind does.
Be sure to relax your mind and reflect. Remember where you’ve been. Recognize, accept and love where you currently are. Dream for a bright future for yourself and the world around you.
Open your mind. Embrace what is different. Explore the unknown. Listen more and talk less.
Start listening to your heart and intuition. Begin to pay attention to the things that excite you and make you truly happy. Envision your dreams and where you ultimately want to be in the world. Put your life and the world around you in a positive perspective.
Try to let go of negative emotions and any insecurities that are holding you back. Understand that holding on to these type of things actually holds you back from your true self and your true potential.
It’s completely OK if you’re not ready to let go of certain things. The important thing is that you know where you are and that you are OK with where you are.
Don’t be afraid to feel. When you feel, you learn. When you learn, you grow.
Be sure to deal with issues that are currently on your mind. Allow yourself to think clearly. Allow your mind and soul to heal. You are perfectly able to come up with a solution to all your problems. A solution can always be found within.
For me, escaping is being alone and listening to music that resonates with me or relaxes me. I take deep breaths and allow my mind to go wherever it needs to. Doing this clears my mind and always me to put things into a better perspective. It allows me to gain a better understanding of myself and everything around me.
Know that life is about balance. I’ve learned that while it is good to escape, it also important to not allow your thoughts to consume you. You need to live your life and create something to escape from.
Only you know what’s best for you.
Always do things your way and don’t be afraid of doing so. Nobody knows you better than you. Take time to understand yourself both physically and mentally. Know that life is a process and mistakes are going to be made.
